Whirlwind Rustic Bathroom Makeover

Rubble Tile makes television debut on Bath Crashers

Bath Crashers, on the DIY network, is hosted by licensed contractor Matt Muenster. On the show, Matt ambushes homeowners when they are shopping for their DIY home improvement project. He follows them home and, with the help of local contractors and designers, completely transforms their bathroom in just a few days.

While Matt and the Bath Crashers’ crew tour nationwide, the entire outfit is based here in Minnesota. Rubble Tile made an appearance on the show last month in Season 11 Episode 5, Rustic Remodel with a Wet Room.

Matt and his team created a rustic getaway with rough-hewn sophistication. Naturalistic details and materials create an inviting and relaxing atmosphere in this lumberjack-chic bathroom; designed by Laurie Plattes, built by Brand Company, with tile installation by Home Enhancements LLC.

Black and white stone-effect and wood look tiles

Pairing black and white is a well known shortcut to creating a timeless design. By adapting this classic color scheme into a restrained palette of dark grey, distressed timber, and simple white this design turns an old classic into an appealing and original look.

3″ x 6″ Ragno Eternal Limestone tiles in Anthracite have a finely detailed surface that emulates natural limestone. 3″ x 36″ planks of Florim Charleston tile have an antique character that won’t degrade with time. Crafted in durable porcelain, these tiles bring wood’s natural textures into extreme environments.

Large format Ragno Villa Medici tiles on the wet room walls are a modern interpretation of old fashioned terra cotta. Because a specialized rolling technique is used to apply glaze to the unfired tiles no piece is exactly the same. Imported Solistone Haisa Marble is a true stone tile. These irregular marble tiles have a smooth surface and gorgeous veins.
